My Daily Battle

I’ve been in quite the Battle the past few weeks. My pain levels have limited my ability to complete most tasks that I do in my Daily Life. It has been quite a while since my pain has been so debilitating. I live with pain on a daily basis yet it is rare that I have pain so debilitating. Most of my trigger points have been activated and causing sore muscles and joints. It is rare for me to not be able to do my walks or to do them with my joints and my muscles in my legs bothering me so much. I always love my walks and the past couple of weeks I haven’t been able to complete them in a way that I normally do.

The issue with this when it happens day after day after day it is a struggle to keep yourself emotionally and mentally fit. My body gets so tired and worn out from the pain. At the two week point it is so hard to not just mentally and emotionally give in. I did give in for a short period of time a good cry and a bit of yelling at the wall, then I had to get back to the battle. The battle itself gets overwhelming.

Im feeling a bit better today. Trying not to overdo myself. With God in my life I have had some joy through the pain. I just try to remember how much He loves me. I know it is ironic. Why do I, or would I love and be loved by a God who has made me so sick? I don’t completely know why God has given me or others this sort of affliction. Yet what I do know is when I walk in His Love and Grace. I also realize that He loves me more than love was created to be. Knowing all of that brings me joy and helps me to want to keep fighting this dreaded Fibromyalgia. I strive to walk in His light. Like any soldier who is in battle like this we do wane in our mental and emotional state.

I am working as hard as I can to hang in there and do what is necessary in my life. It is the only way I will survive this life. Others have worse so I also do try to be grateful every day that God has spared me of so much worse things In this life.

I found these sayings on Journey into me. They really resonate as affirmations to me. Not only should we pay attentions to what God tells us in His Word. We also need to pay attention to what we tell ourselves. What we tell ourselves about ourselves can totally erase what God is trying to tell us in His word if we are not careful. I am always at practice when it comes to that. I always try to go back to what God thinks of me. It is important as well what others say yet only to a certain point and it depends on what it is about…haha! I am hoping these will also resonate with you and you will find some comfort in them.

“You create your own happiness.”

“Gives thanks daily for the life you have now, it is a gift, treasure it.”

“Living in the moment is not always easy, however I am doing my best to live in the present.”

“I believe in happiness even when things go wrong.”

“Don’t let the world harden your heart.”

“You create your own happiness.”

“Gives thanks daily for the life you have now, it is a gift, treasure it.”

I also have a video to share with all of you. I was unable to get this video to embed properly so I put the link here for you to hook into the video. This is definitely worth the extra couple of minutes it will take for you to do this. You will be amazed:″>Post</a>

This video pretty much says it all.

Have an amazing week!

I really tried to do some in depth research this past week. I watched a lot of videos and read a lot of poetry. Definitely have some material for the next few weeks. I really have been so inspired.

What I am going to share with you today are some very unique things that caught my eye. The first one is called Hospital Window. It gives us something to think about and how far would we go to love others. To go out of our way to give someone something they desperately needed. We all need to be loved. We also need to feel needed. I believe we see both things in this video.

Here is a video that really pricked my heart and reminded me to love not judge. As people don’t live in my shoes (a son with Downs syndrome as well as severly Autistic, as well as having FM) I don’t live in your shoes. In this life will be suffering. We can work to ease each others burdens. A Blog is not only a place for us to vent and tell our sides of our stories and how we live; or a journal. It is a community where we can reach out and care for one another.

I actually was going to post a different video for the last video. I saw this on the YouTube side bar and wanted to watch it. I felt it went along with what our other videos were showing. It is about including others in all things and not excluding them because they are different.

If my Blog Theme will let me I will try and post the video I had planned on showing. You will get a laugh and really enjoy some great music. Cant tell you what kind. I would totally give away the punch line….

So I hope you enjoyed Tuesday’s Treasures. I hope you enjoyed the videos. Let me know what you think. Let me know how it touched you or even if it did at all. I am excited for the rest of the week. I know this has nothing to do with the subject of this post yet just a reminder that we can choose how to respond to situations. Also, we can choose to be happy no matter what is happening. It takes tons of practice and I am certainly at the practicing stage. Take care and I will see you next week.

Today I am so so excited! Im going to share with you a couple of amazing works from bloggers on WordPress! For me I believe Poetry is here to make us think. Not just on the surface yet in a deeper way. The kind that reaches our innermost being. If the Poem resonates with me then it has touched the part of me that is my true being. The true being that God created that is slowly beginning to emerge. God will be working on me in this area for a long time.

I am sorry that I have gotten off on a rabbit trail. The first poem is called Imperfections. It is written by Namaste – her website is

As a child I was always told,

“you are beautiful, my darling,

don’t ever believe otherwise”

When I started growing up

I was doubting my parents’ advice.

My eyes weren’t bright enough,

My nose was far too pointy

My lips were chapped,

My cheeks were very pudgy

and my hair, it was a tangled mess.

That’s not all, that was just my face.

My stomach wasn’t flat enough,

My hands were too short,

My legs were pale and rough,

My mind was a brainwashed wreck.

But now, now I have transformed

My soul remains the same, and yet

My flaws haven’t changed.

Haunted and tormented

thoughts have now become impotent.

The chains that held

my content thoughts together,

have now loosened, my raving

heart is fixing itself together

and now, I’m free.

Our minds are influenced,

but hearts are home

to our own feelings.

It’s time to believe in ourself

time to know, that we are

Only then, will everything,

be right in the world.

(more or less the same ending, right?)

Such a beautiful poem! I believe we all have self awareness issues. We bump up against issues that we wish we could push through to the other side. Self esteem issues are so prevalent in our world today. We have to come of age inside ourselves. Being able to look into the mirror and accept ourselves for who and what we are. Thanks Namaste for reminding us of this very important self awareness issue. We do need to believe in ourselves. Not to a point of being egotistical. I mean the fact that God made us and He thinks we are beautiful just as we are so we need to love ourselves as well.

The next poem is called Mountains Hidden in the Clouds. It is written by Nanadokua. Her website is

Mountians Hidden in the Clouds

It’s weird and unheard of… I believe I might have lost it

I know it’s unimaginable…and yet I burn to reveal it

What I see when I stare into the dark skies…above me

The mountains that remain…well hidden in the clouds

They gasp…they sputter…and refuse to believe me

They cover their ears…and close their eyes

They yell out…to me and insist…I deny it

Yet I cannot…tell a lie when these mountains…beckon

I see them…so strong, so tall and well hidden

Those hurts we hide…and cover with our smiles

Yet they remain…what they’ve been…and what they are…and what they’ll be

Huge mountains that remain…well hidden in the clouds

True…the moving clouds tend to cover and obstruct them

But those clouds…do move and occasionally…reveal them

In those outbursts…we make…every now and then

That catch us…and our dear ones…off guard and unaware

That drives…a deep wedge…between the relationships… that ought to grow

Yet we continue…to deny…their very existence

And heap moving clouds…upon clouds…upon them till they disappear

From our minds…and our eyes…and our hearts

But a mountain…though invisible to the eye… does not

Vanish as we hope and remains quite strong

Unless we take that step and confront those hurts

They’ll forever…remain in our hearts…and our minds

Huge mountains that remain…well hidden in the clouds

Thank you Yvonne for this beautiful truth filled poem! It really says it all and does it in a respectful yet truthful way. There really isn’t anymore to say. It is amazing and so thought provoking. Amazing job Yvonne!

This video is a reminder to all of us that we are not perfect. We are all broken. We all have shattered Dreams and stresses beyond our control. It is a reminder that we need the Lord to fill that empty space inside. Since we are human we forget to allow God to fill that hole and we think we can do it all without his help. It may take a day, a week, or a year but we will crash and burn, become broken. It is important to have that person in your life who listens and helps you. Who will tell you the truth.

Bless everyone of you today and I am hoping I will be able to be more consistent in posting every week. At least something. I am then hoping I will continue to get better organized etc and get back to doing Ten Things of Thankful I know many of you liked that as well.

See you next week!
